Glo 4G LTE is Now Available on Frequency Band 3 (1800MHz)

Glo the grandmaster of data, has finally confirmed that Glo LTE is now available on Band 3 (1800MHz).

Despite the fact that Glo has been the grandmasters of data and has the best data packages, yet there has been a major complain among Glo subscribers that their smartphones doesn't support Glo 4G band frequency and therefore cannot enjoy Glo 4G LTE in several locations within the country.

It was reported earlie this year that the telecom company was working to extend its 4G LTE frequency to band 3;  the same frequency band which 9mobile and Airtel are making use of.

Well, the good news here is that. Glo NG is already rolling out it Band 3 frequency and subscribers from different location in Nigeria has confirmed that Glo 4G LTE is now available on Band 3 (1800MHZ). This means, the Telecom company Glo is now using Band 3 and 28, Frequencies 1800MHz and 700MHz.

With this new update, most of the 4G enabled smartphones can now support Glo 4G LTE, except if you are not using a smartphone with 4G enable or an upgraded Glo 4G SIM.

Finally the issue of Band 28 not supported will come to an end, Band 3 is now available.
