Now let's have a look at the difference between Facebook and Facebook Lite
Facebook Lite is a faster, lighter and more economical version of Facebook app for smartphones with lower RAM.
Facebook Lite version is a great alternative if you are worried about your data cap because the main Facebook app uses too much data background.
APPLICATION SIZE:
The Facebook App (original) has 4.10MB in size while the Facebook App Lite version has 1.32MB
RAM: The Facebook app contains many features so it occupies at least 150MB to 300MB of RAM in the background while Facebook Lite consumes about 50mb to 150mb of the RAM only.
USER INTERFACE: To say the fact, the Facebook main application has a smoother UI (User interface) and high quality images. With that, it lead to consumption of more data and while the Lite version is the opposite, it shows images with not more quality and consumes less data.
CHAT: In Facebook lite, you don’t need to download messenger, you can message anyone directly without downloading Facebook Messenger app. But if you use the Facebook main app you must have to download messenger before replying to your chats. Oops, It is an additional consumption of RAM though.
SPEED: The Lite version of Facebook is faster than the main app.
And also on Facebook lite, video does not play automatically, so it saves data which is more important. As a Nigerian you all know how data is very important. lols...
Facebook Lite uses lesser data compared to the main Facebook app.
Facebook Lite work on a slow internet speed, use low amount of band-width, the lite version is very optimized.
Facebook Lite works on older Android version like 2.2 that are no longer supported by the main app.
