Today we are going to talk on one of those hidden features known as “History navigation with gesture” and how to enable it for easy navigation.
How to Enable Gesture Navigation on Google Chrome for Android
Chrome browser has a hidden gesture feature that lets you swipe to the left or right in any tab to move back one step in your browsing history or swipe to the right to move forward which I have been using for a very long time now and today am going to show you how you can as well Enable it on your chrome browser.Let's Start.
Step 1: Launch your Google Chrome browser and enter Chrome://flags in the URL address bar to access the Chrome flags page.
Step 2: Now at the top of chrome flag page, there is a search field, search for history nav, then find the option labeled History "Overscroll history navigation."
For those of you with different Chrome version. Your search result should be “Navigation with Gesture.”
Step 3: To proceed, touch on the drop-down menu below the flag and change it from "Default" to "Enabled.”
After you have done that, you’ll see a blue button appear on the bottom of your screen that says "RELAUNCH NOW."
Just Hit on the Relaunch Now button and your browser will restart.

When the browser restarts, head over to an article and swipe left or right to see how the gesture works.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI followed the procedure in the post but I can't find the history navigation. Maybe the experiment has been removed or am not getting it right?
Hi Samuel....
DeleteI guess you haven't follow the steps as stated above correctly, kindly go through the procedure in "STEP 2" again.
If still you dont get it right, then definitely you are using an outdated version of Chrome.
